The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 8, on behalf of NF/SG VHS,1601 SW Archer Road, Gainesville, FL 32608 is issuing this source sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support this requirement for a firm-fixed priced contract for Autonomous Shuttle Service. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 485999.
THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals or quotes; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred.
Scope/Need: The vendor will provide shuttle services and turnkey solutions to allow the Government to examine rural Veterans perspectives on the benefits and/or challenges pertaining to riding in an autonomous shuttle in four Florida counties, Marion, Orange, Port St. Lucie, and Seminole. Reference the attached Statement of Work (SOW) for complete detail.
Must submit the following information to be considered a potential vendor:
Organization name, address, point of contact, email address, Web site address, and telephone number.
Business size: small, small disadvantaged, woman-owned, Hub Zone, serviced-disabled veteran-owned small business, veteran-owned small business, large business, etc.
Under which NAICS code does your company usually provide the requirements described in items/description list? Please provide rationale for your answer is different from NAICS 485999.
Capability statements addressing the particulars of this effort, with appropriate documentation supporting claims the ability to provide the requirement.
The Vendor operation of such shuttles requires a waiver from the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration (NHTSA), approval from the Florida Department of Transportation, and permission from as well as coordination with the counties or municipalities where the shuttle will operate.
The government will evaluate market information to ascertain potential market capacity who can provide the service in accordance with the SOW and information provided in the notice.
BASED ON THE RESPONSES TO THIS SOURCE SOUGHT NOTICE/MARKET RESEARCH the acquisition strategy will be determined. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, and no feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regarding their submissions. Submission Instructions: Interested parties who consider themselves qualified to provide these supplies/services are invited to submit a response to this Sources Sought Notice by 12pm, ET, Tuesday, January 17, 2023.
