Will any work under this contract be performed in the areas of building 1 requiring asbestos abatement? No areas will require asbestos abatement Install emergency door release button on doors with mag-locks (or reuse existing if available) - Do the power supply locations for these doors have fire alarm relays for door release? If none are existing is the security contractor to provide and install them or will hospital Operations team contract their fire alarm company separately for this? There are no fire alarm relays in place now. If required, this would be the responsibility of the contractor performing this project. Does the VA have drawings available for these door locations? Yes Will the new iStar Edge controllers tie into the VA network? If so is network available in room 128, 125, and 131? The controllers will tie into the VA network. Network connections will be available in close proximity to the controller locations. Is the contractor or VA responsible for programming these doors into CCure. If contractor can the VA provide log in credentials with access level permissions to program this work? The contractor will be responsible for any necessary programming in CCure (in paragraph 6 of the general requirements: Program and test on the existing CCure 9000 system for proper operation Will the VA consider extending the solicitation response deadline to 3-5 days from the time responses are provided to contractors to allow ample time to incorporate government responses into proposals? Yes
