This Sources Sought notice is being posted to satisfy the requirement of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement 206.302-1(d). The Naval Air Systems Command Patuxent River (NAVAIRSYSCOM) intends to award a contract to procure sustainment and repair support of Infrared Search and Track (IRST) Weapon Replaceable Assembly (WRA) test assets during Development Test. The anticipated period of performance for this effort is 18 months from the date of award.

The Boeing Company possesses the technical data and engineering data, specialized engineering capability, subject matter expertise, resources and detailed knowledge required for the repair of IRST WRA’s. As such, Boeing is the only firm that can provide the services within the required timeframe.

THIS IS NOT AN INVITATION FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government will consider all responses received to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. No solicitation will be available for this procurement.
