DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The project consists of a base and one option. The base work consists of dredging shoal material from the Manatee Harbor Entrance Channel and Turning Basin. Option A includes dredging shoal material from the South Access Channel. The required depth for Manatee Harbor is 40 feet with one foot of allowable over depth. All excavated material from Manatee Harbor will be placed in the designated upland disposal area. Work also includes endangered species observers, turbidity monitoring, bird monitoring, mobilization, and operation and maintenance of the Manatee Harbor upland disposal area at the direction of the Contracting Officer.
PROPOSAL REQUIREMENTS:
The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued on or about October 7, 2022 and bids will be due on or about November 8, 2022
NAICS Code 237990 Dredging and Surface Cleanup Activities, size standard $32.5 million.
Magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
The Estimated Period of Performance is 120 calendar days for the base period and 15 calendar days for Option A work after issuance of Notice to Proceed (NTP). The stated time is inclusive of 60 calendar days to commence work.
THIS IS A SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE.
