Description

Description:

This Special Notice by Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) is being released on behalf of Program Executive Office (PEO) Ships, U.S. Navy and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Boats and Craft Program Office (PMS300) to notify small boat industrial maintenance and repair organizations, and small boat engine and electronic Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) maintainers of the annual U.S. Navy Boat and Combatant Craft Summit scheduled for 28 February to 02 March 2023 at Ocean Breeze Conference Center at Naval Station, Mayport, FL.

The U.S. Navy Boat and Combatant Craft Summit (hereafter the “Summit”) is a community of practice event hosted annually by the Program Office (PMS300G) Life Cycle Manager at one of the U.S. Navy’s fleet concentration areas. The forum is geared towards the sustainment of U.S. Navy boats and combatant craft up to 85 feet in length currently in service. The intent of the Summit is to bring together U.S. Navy boat and combatant craft custodians, maintainers, technical stakeholders as well as industry small boat maintenance and repair organizations to include OEM maintainers in continuing dialogue related to the latest boat and combatant craft policy and sustainment initiatives, lessons learned, best practices, challenges, and opportunities. The Summit also serves as a direct connection to the acquisition Program Office (PMS300G), NAVSEA 05D boat and craft Technical Warrant Holder, and Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWC CD) Combatant Craft Division (CCD), Planning Yard (PY) and In- Service Systems Engineering (ISSE) representatives.

This year’s Summit will be a government-only forum from 28 February until 12:30 PM on 1 March. From 2:00 PM until 3:30 PM on 01 March, the Summit will be open to small boat industry maintenance and repair organizations, and OEM maintainers. From 9:00 AM until 3:30 PM on the final day, 02 March, there will be time allotted for industry representatives to engage with Program Office (PMS300G) Life Cycle Manager, NAVSEA 05D Boat and Craft Technical Warrant Holder, and Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWC CD) Combatant Craft Division (CCD), Planning Yard (PY) and In- Service Systems Engineering (ISSE) representatives on matters related to the sustainment of in-service U.S. Navy boats and combatant craft.

NOTE: The Summit is not a marketing or sales-type event. It serves as a conduit for the Program Office (PMS300) to bring together government, military, and industrial organizations with equity in the maintenance and repair of U.S. Navy boats and combatant craft. No reimbursement will be made by the Government for any costs associated with attending this event.
