The Suwannee River Water Management District (District) is requesting bids for invasive plant control services on the Jennings Bluff, Big Pine, Alligator Lake, Santa Fe Swamp, Edwards Bottomlands and Peacock Slough tracts in Hamilton, Columbia, Alachua, Bradford, and Suwannee Counties. Additional work areas with similar conditions may be identified and added to the scope of work. Work will be done to help control and eradicate invasive plant species on the identified treatment areas and facilitate the natural community restoration and maintenance goals identified in the District’s Land Management Plan. This work will be a follow-up to initial treatments in some areas and is required on areas that have high density and/or persistent infestations. Infestations at Jennings Bluff and Alligator Lake will be treated for the first time.
