STATEMENT OF NEED
Emergency Staff Radios

1. GENERAL James A. Haley Veterans Hospital (JAHVH) requires forty (40) portable radios and fifteen (15) speaker microphones with emergency buttons for use on the hospital campus for support operations.
2. BACKGROUND: This requirement is for the purchase of forty (40) VHF P25 Phase II radios. Having these assets gives the Government the ability to communicate on the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital grounds.
These radios will provide users with the ability to communicate using the installed L3Harris P25 Phase II trunked system, as well as utilize the hospital s existing Wi-Fi infrastructure in areas of poor VHF RF coverage.
