THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. IAW FAR Part 13, this purchase order is intended to be awarded as a Single Source procurement. With reference to FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), for purchases not exceeding the Simplified Acquisition Threshold and in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures for the procurement of Single Source acquisitions, the procurement of this acquisition is justified on the basis that Motorola Solutions, Inc. is currently the only company that can meet the needs of this requirement. Patriot3, Inc. is the only manufacturer and distributor capable of fulfilling the Jetboots Repair requirement.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by the date of close specified herein will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
