Contract Opportunity

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart. 12.3 and FAR 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.

Instructions to offerors (Tailored for quotes under FAR part 13), evaluation criteria, and all applicable FAR PROVISIONS AND Clauses are attached.

1. USCG Base Miami Beach has a requirement to purchase:

QTY: 3 ea. Marine Foam Fill Fenders. Specifications are as follows:

a. Color: Black

b. Dimensions:

i. Diameter: 5.0 ft.

ii. Length eye-to-eye: 8.0 ft.

iii. Length of flat: 4.0 ft.

c. Performance at 60% Compression

i. Energy: 136 FT KIP

ii. Reaction: 101 KIP

iii. Pressure: 3.6 KSF

d. Accessories Sizes

i. Shackles: 1.0 in

2. Contractor shall include endplates, swivels, and bolts.

3. Contractor shall ensure the Coast Guard endplate, swivel, and bolt threat match new fenders.

4. Contractor shall provide QTY: 3 ea. Shackles 1.0.

a. Material: Stainless Steel

5. Contractor shall deliver fenders and fender plates to: 100 MacArthur Causeway Miami Beach, FL 33139

This is a Firm Fixed Price Contract

Award will be based on Best Value. Best Value determination will be considered by the following:

1. Time of Delivery


2. Warranties provided by vendor


3. Cost to the Government

Contractor must be registered in SAM at www.sam.gov with a valid DUNS number before submitting a quote under this solicitation.

Contractors are located and identified in SAM by their DUNS Number. To facilitate payment via Electronic Funds Transfer-SAM, contractors should be registered in SAM. A UEI Number can be obtained via SAM registration and can be obtained via www.sam.gov.
