THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY.
Network Contracting Office 8 (NCO 8) is conducting market research to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources with the capability to upgrade (materials & installation) the current anti-ligature alarm system from the Top Door Alarm (Generation 1) System to the Top Door Alarm (Generation 3) System. The current system includes (44) doors between the east and west wing of the mental health ward at the Orlando VA Medical Center (VAMC) at Lake Nona.
This is a market research/sources sought synopsis only, (not a pre-solicitation notice pursuant to FAR Part 5). This Sources Sought Notice (SSN) is for planning/information purposes only and shall not be construed as a commitment or a promise of a contract by the Government. This is not a solicitation. This notice does not constitute a Request for Bid, Request for Quote or Request for Proposal, nor does it restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any costs incurred in preparation of a response to this notice. Large and small businesses are encouraged to participate in this survey.
For the purpose of this acquisition, the NAICS code is 561621 and the small business size standard of $22,000,000.00 is applicable. This survey is to determine the capability of potential sources and the availability of commercial sources and services pursuant to FAR Part 10.
Interested parties shall provide a capability statement that addresses the organization s qualifications and ability to perform as a prime contractor to upgrade (materials & installation) the current anti-ligature alarm system from the Top Door Alarm (Generation 1) System to the Top Door Alarm (Generation 3) System. Capability statements shall include the following business information:
SAM Unique Entity Identifier (SAM UEI) number
Organization Name & Address
Point of Contact (including name, title, addresses, telephone number, fax number and Email address)
Business size under NAICS: 562111
Socio-economic status (e.g. SDVOSB, VOSB, WOSB, SB, etc..)
Narrative:
Addresses the organization s experience & qualifications (e.g. certified installer, distributor, etc..) to support your ability to perform as a prime contractor to upgrade (materials & installation) the current anti-ligature alarm system from the Top Door Alarm (Generation 1) System to the Top Door Alarm (Generation 3) System. If teaming with another vendor, please explain the efforts to be performed by the prime and efforts to be performed by any subcontractor(s).
Is (instructional) training session available/offered? If so, please explain / provide details (duration, # of attendees, instructor lead, will instructional materials be provided, etc..)
All information must be received no later than: April 17th, 2023, 11:00 am EST.
