The Naval Supply (NAVSUP) Systems Command, Fleet Logistics Center Jacksonville (FLCJ), FL intends to issue a sole source award utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures to RENK Systems Corp. for an Electric Lube Oil Pump (ELOP). RENK Systems Corp. is the only U.S. based OEM-authorized provider of parts and services related to the RENK manufactured transmissions installed on LCS vessels.

An award to any other source would jeopardize compatibility with existing equipment and would result in substantial duplication cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition, in addition to unacceptable delays in meeting the Government requirements.

The applicable North American Industrial Classification System Code (NAICS) code that these items fall under is 333914, with a size standard of 750 employees. The notice of intent is for information purposes only.

This notice does not constitute a request for a proposal, request for quote or an invitation to bid. All sources eligible to provide the requirement must respond in writing. Responses must be supported with clear and convincing evidence to clearly articulate the ability to provide this requirement as outlined above.

A request for documentation will not be considered as an affirmative response. If no responses are received, within two (2) calendar days after publication of this notice, to the effect that comparable items are available, and that this is more advantageous to the Government than obtaining this product through a sole source contract, then a sole source acquisition award will be made.
