NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Lake Wales is accepting sealed bids for:

REDEVELOPMENT OF THE SEMINOLE HOTEL

Interested individuals/firms shall submit one (1) original, four (4) copies and one (1) original electronic copy on USB flash drive in PDF format in a sealed enclosure bearing the label found on page 2 of the solicitation packet by 2:00 PM, prevailing time on Wednesday, December 20, 2023.

Pre-Bid Meeting and Questions

A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will take place at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at the Seminole Hotel located at 207 North 1 ^st Street, Lake Wales, FL 33853. Access to the project site will be available at this time. If you wish to enter the project site, you must wear closed toed shoes and a hard hat. These items will not be provided for you by the City of Lake Wales. Project questions will be entertained at this time. Questions for the Pre-Bid meeting are encouraged to be placed in writing prior to the meeting. The deadline for all questions must be submitted Friday, December 1, by 5:00 pm. The final addendum will be posted on Wednesday, December 6, 2023.

Intent

It is the intent of this Request for Proposals (RFP) to identify a developer for the Seminole Hotel. It is also the intent and purpose of this solicitation to promote competition. It shall be the proposer’s responsibility to advise the Purchase Agent at the address noted above, if language, requirements, etc., or any combination thereof, inadvertently restricts or limits competition or if the requirements stated in this document limits it to a single source. Such notification must be submitted in writing and must be received by the Purchasing Agent no later than ten (10) calendar days prior to the proposal closing date.

Responding to the Request for Proposals

All individuals/firms wishing to submit a proposal must obtain a complete copy of the Request for Proposals and submit all required forms as outlined in the solicitation document with their response.
