1. The City of Ocala requires the services of an experienced Vendor to supply and deliver Self-Contained Breathing Apparatuses (SCBA) and related components manufactured by 3M Scott to support the Ocala Fire Rescue.

These specifications are based upon design and performance criteria which have been researched and analyzed by the department. All deviations, no matter how slight, shall be clearly explained in writing with the bid proposal. The City will review the deviation and reserve the right to accept or reject.

1. 3M Scott SCBA will be the only SCBA awarded under this bid.
2. 4500 PSI, 30-minute Snap-Change Cylinder, Carbon Wrapped.
3. E-Z Flo C5, Quick Connect Hose, Rectus
4. Must include Vision C5 Facepiece with Radio Direct Interface and Bone Conduction Headphone compatible with Motorola.
5. SCBA must comply with the NFPA 1981 Standard, 2019 Edition

1. A copy of the warranty shall be included in the bid proposal. If periodic service and maintenance is required to keep the warranty in effect, include the cost in the proposal. This shall be shown as a separate line item. If service or maintenance is not needed, a letter from the MANUFACTURER (NOT THE LOCAL DEALER) must be included in the proposal stating this condition.
2. Before delivering the SCBA to the department, a function test shall be performed on the SCBA. This shall be a complete function test; not just a flow test. This is to ensure the packs are in complete operating order when delivered. Upon delivery, a copy of the computer-generated reports shall be provided with each unit to verify the units are in optimum functioning condition. A sample copy of the report shall be included with each proposal.

NOTE: STANDARD INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS include General & Auto Liability and Workers Comp.

1. Commercial General Liability: with limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence/$2,000,000 aggregate.
2. Commercial Automotive Liability: a combined limit of not less than $1,000,000.
3. Workers’ Compensation and Employer’s Liability: per Florida statutory requirements.

1. Supplies will be delivered or shipped to Ocala Fire Rescue, 505 NW Martin Luther King, Ave. Ocala, FL 34475
2. Scheduling of all deliveries shall be coordinated with the City Project Manager.
3. Lead Time: The maximum acceptable lead time on materials is two (2) weeks.

2. Vendor will invoice at least once a month.
3. Vendor will be given a coversheet for their invoice. This coversheet must be filled out correctly and submitted with each invoice.

1. Bids will be received on a unit price basis. The City will pay the Vendor only for the actual units that the Vendor provides, installs, or constructs.
2. Bidder must bid on all line items, with the exception of optional items.
3. Prices shall include all delivery and/or freight costs.
4. Award will be made to the lowest bidder meeting all requirements outlined herein.
