A1A AND MALACOMPRA RD. SEWER FORCE MAIN EXTENSION

Scope: The City of Palm Coast is seeking proposals from qualified Contractors. The Work consists of the construction of over 16,000-ft of new 8”-12” sewer force main plus 4” force main stub outs along A1A from Jungle Hut Rd. to Malacompra Rd. and along Malacompra Rd. from A1A to Malacompra Rd. Beachfront Park. Directional drill construction includes 11,450-ft (+/-) of new 12” PE force main and 3,500-ft (+/-) of new 8” PE force main. Open cut construction includes 700-ft (+/-) of new 12” PVC force main, 370-ft (+/-) of new 8” PVC force main, and 75-ft (+/-) of new 4” PVC force main. This project includes work in areas that include coquina shell/ rock: It is not a continuous shelf of coquina, but rather fragments of coquina rock which are mixed within the sand. The Contractor should be prepared to utilize specialized equipment in order to facilitate excavation activities if they encounter larger pieces of coquina along the alignment.
