SCOPE OF SERVICES
AIRPORT ROAD SIGNS
The Pensacola International Airport (PNS or Airport) is a commercial service airport located in Pensacola, Florida. The Airport is owned and operated by the City of Pensacola. PNS identified a need to improve the overhead signs along the public access route around the terminal and parking areas.
The primary work effort consists of replacing existing overhead sign panels utilizing existing sign locations and structures as depicted in the construction plans. Thirty (30) existing sign panels shown on the Existing Signing Layout sheet are identified for removal; existing signs will be returned to PNS. Twenty-eight (28) new overhead sign panels are proposed for installation. Additionally, two (2) overheight vehicle ground-mounted signs are proposed near the Airport entrance. Modifications are also proposed to an existing ground-mounted sign at the entrance.
Standards to be adhered to include the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), FDOT Standard Plans, and FDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction.
