Project Name: Intended Sole Source Purchase: Continuously Connected Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Scope of Work: Lee County Public Safety is seeking to execute a sole source for real time, continuously connected AED. This device connects live with the computer aided dispatching system used to dispatch fire/ems to calls. This connection allows dispatchers to dispatch AEDs and bystanders to cardiac arrest calls and potentially save a life. The novelty of this device is not in the function of the AED itself but rather in the proprietary connect device that is attached to the AED making it cell/Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connected.
