The Gadsden County Board of County Commissioners is seeking sealed bids from qualified person, company or corporation interested in providing construction services for the referenced project at the intersection of Barack Obama Blvd. and Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in Quincy, Florida. The project is approximately 2200 linear feet and includes the following: Minor Grading, Concrete Median, Curb and Gutter, Sidewalks, Signing and Pavement Markings.

All bids shall be submitted in duplicate (one original and three copies) in sealed envelopes/packages addressed to the Management Services Department and marked "B.I.D. NO. 24-04 Barack Obama Blvd at Martin Luther King Blvd – Roundabout Improvements”.   Any bids received after the designated date will be returned unopened.

Information regarding the RFQ can be obtained at the Management Services Office, 5-B East Jefferson Street, Quincy, FL 32351, via email at procurement@gadsdencountyfl.gov and on the County’s website at www.gadsdencountyfl.gov .  For a complete scope of services, contact Agnes Denson in writing at adenson@gadsdencountyfl.gov .

Bids will be received until 4 p.m. (EST) on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at the Gadsden County Management Services Department, Room 204, 5B East Jefferson Street, Quincy, Florida 32351, and will be opened and read aloud on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at 10 a.m. (EST)at the County Administrator’s Conference Room at 9B East Jefferson Street, Quincy, Florida 32351.  The Bid will be awarded to the lowest responsive bidder.

All Bids shall remain firm for a period of 60 days after the opening.  All bidders shall comply with all applicable State and local laws concerning licensing registration and regulation of contractors doing business to the State of Florida.

Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at 1 pm., Eastern Time, Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at the County Administrator’s Conference Room at 9B East Jefferson Street, Quincy, Florida 32351

The County reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bid and to waive any technicalities or irregularities therein.  The County further reserves the right to award the agreement to that bidder whose bid best complies with the specifications.  Bidders may withdraw their bid by notifying the County in writing at any time prior to the deadline for bid submittal.  After the deadline, the bid will constitute an irrevocable offer for a period of sixty (60) days.  Once opened, bids become a record of the County and will not be returned to the bidders.
