The Gadsden County Board of County Commissioners will receive sealed bids from any qualified person, company, or corporation interested in providing construction services for the following project:

W.S. STEVENS COVID SHELTER

The Gadsden County Board of County Commissioners is seeking sealed bids from qualified persons, companies, or corporations interested in providing construction services for the referenced project, which will consist of building renovations, site improvements to include asphalt paving, concrete sidewalks, expanding existing stormwater pond and other miscellaneous site improvements.

Plans and specifications can be obtained at Dewberry Engineers Inc., 101 N Monroe St, Suite 710, Tallahassee, FL 32301 (850) 523-0062. The completion date for this project will be 210 days from the date of the Notice to Proceed presented to the successful bidder.
Liquidated damages for failure to complete the project on the specified date will be $200 per day.
The cost for Plans and Specifications will be $50 per set and is non-refundable. Checks should be made payable to Dewberry Engineers Inc. Digital copies will be available free of charge.

Interested, qualified Consultants must submit one original and three (3) copies of the letter of response to the Management Services Department, 5-B East Jefferson Street, Quincy, FL 32351, by 10 a.m. EST on Tuesday, March 26, 2024.

Please indicate on the envelope that this is a sealed proposal for:

Bids will be received until 10 a.m. EST on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 , at the Gadsden County Management Services Department, Room 204, 5-B East Jefferson Street, Quincy, Florida 32351.

Timely submitted bids will be opened and read aloud on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. EST at the Growth Management Conference Room at 1B East Jefferson Street, Quincy, Florida 32351.

The Bid will be awarded to the lowest responsive bidder.
All Bids shall remain firm for 60 days after the opening. All bidders shall comply with all applicable State and local laws concerning licensing registration and regulation of contractors doing business with the State of Florida.
The County reserves the right to accept or reject all Bids and waive any technicalities or irregularities therein. The County further reserves the right to award the agreement to that bidder whose Bid best complies with the specifications.
Bidders may withdraw their Bid by notifying the County in writing before the deadline for bid submittal.
After the deadline, the Bid will constitute an irrevocable offer for 60 days. Once opened, bids become a record of the County and will not be returned to the bidders. EEO/AA
