This is a notification that the City of Deerfield Beach intends to purchase a Rotary Actuator, Model #11-369 (Mfr. Harold Beck & Sons, Inc.) with HDWR for Field Mounting Valve / Storage Tank Control and 4-20 mA Positioning for Modulating Service supplied with Direct-Connect Hardware to mount on an existing 16" Dezurik BAW Butterfly Valve in the Field to Harold Beck & Sons, Inc. The Rotary Actuator will replace the altitude valve which is a mechanically operated control that relies on a differential of pressure between inlet and outlet to assume a level of water and controls its flow when the supply pressure becomes much higher than the head developed by the full reservoir or storage tank. The features and specifications for the Rotary Actuator are included with the sole source documents. This purchase does not include installation. Harold Beck & Sons, Inc. is the manufacturer and sole factory representative/distributor/service of the Harold Beck & Sons, Inc. products in the United States.

Prospective vendors are asked to provide information regarding their ability to provide the product described herein. Vendors who believe that they can provide the product of the same or greater quality and compatibility that will produce the same or greater results for the City shall submit such evidence in their Response Attachments by the due date and time of this Sole Source Notification.
