The City of Punta Gorda is seeking bids for purchase and delivery of a floorless outbuilding/shed to house a control cabinet and related electrical panels for newly installed equipment at the City's Water Treatment Plant. The building will be mounted on an existing slab measuring 143.5 inches by 168 inches. and must have a minimum interior height
clearance of
7 feet 8 inches
on all sides.
The design style and height of the building exterior is flexible as long as the exterior height proposed allows for the minimum interior height of 7 feet 8 inches on all sides. The roof pitch shall be consistent/compatible with the stye of building proposed and must comply with all appropriate building codes.
A
double door shall be positioned facing on left side of front building wall (168 inches), see attachment I2022107E1 and side vents are not required as an air conditioning unit will be installed at a later date.
In addition, design consideration must be given to the
hurricane resistance and
anchoring system needed to secure the building to the slab. Placement of anchors should not interfere with the door's location and its operation.
